Eleven Recruiting is seeking a talented 1st Shift Production Supervisor to join one of our premier aerospace manufacturing clients. This role is responsible for overseeing production operations with a focus on assembly, welding, and fabrication, ensuring seamless execution and adherence to production plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the assembly, welding, and fabrication of components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies.
- Leverage daily management practices to maintain continuous production flow across 1st and 2nd shifts.
- Host daily GEMBA meetings with management to communicate detailed status updates on production plans and ensure the timely completion of action items.
- Oversee the installation, operation, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
- Ensure the prompt, cost-effective, and on-time delivery of finished products to customers.
- Maintain accurate records for all employees and programs within the department.
- Work effectively with both union and non-union employees to foster a collaborative work environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (B.S. or B.A.) or equivalent experience.
- 2-3 years of supervisory experience, preferably in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated experience with lean manufacturing principles.
- Proven ability to work with both union and non-union employees.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Exceptional planning and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Expertise in:
- Metal Forming: Shearing, punching, brake press, and bending.
- Metal Fitting: Alignment and welding.
- Metal Machining: CNC operations.
- Composite Fabrication and Sub-Assembly Testing.
